Today’s market backdrop may feel unprecedented, but history suggests many of these dynamics have played out before. In the late 1960s and 1970s, policymakers attempted to support growth while managing inflation, all against a backdrop of geopolitical tension and supply shocks. The result was a more volatile, inflationary environment where market leadership shifted, and diversification mattered more than expected.
As similar pressures build today, the key question is whether investors are positioned for a change in regime or still anchored to what worked last cycle. Join Rich Bernstein & Mike Contopoulos as they discuss what today’s environment may share with the 1960s and 1970s, and what that could mean for portfolios going forward.
